New Poll Feature Available in Microsoft Teams

What is new?

Microsoft has released a new type of poll for Teams meetings. The Word Cloud poll option is now available as well as the existing multiple-choice and quiz polls in meetings. When a meeting organiser creates an open text poll and all responses have been collected, the word cloud data insight will be generated. Word Cloud data enables meeting organisers and attendees to get a quick view on the top text phrases submitted.

It is important to note that responses are anonymous in the Word Cloud poll, so other users will not know who submitted which response. This anonymity encourages attendees to answer polls with honesty and transparency, to provide quality insights.

What are the benefits?

Word Cloud polls help keep audiences and attendees engaged during meetings by providing open-ended questions. This enables organisers to collect opinions and actively involve attendees in the discussion. Word Cloud polls also help organisers gain a general sentiment of the conversation.
